The God Dare: Will You Choose to Believe the Impossible?

What’s the crazy dream God has dropped in your heart, the wild adventure He’s inviting you to join? What is He asking you to do that you know you couldn’t possibly do on your own? In fact, if you try to do it on your own, you’re pretty much guaranteed to fall flat on your face?

Has He given you a wild, preposterous, secret, scary, or enchanting dream or idea?

That’s what we call a God Dare. 

You may have been sensing it for a while now. It might wake you up in the night or come out of nowhere as a random thought you know didn’t come from your mom brain! Or maybe it’s called to you in a dream or you sensed it some other way. But as soon as you sensed it, the excuses came flooding in:

“Who am I? I’m not equipped.”
“What can I possibly do to change the world? It’s not in me.”
“I’m too old, I missed my chance.”
“I’m too young. I don’t understand any of this.”
“I’m too tired…” 

And a million other excuses, fears, and insecurities we use to excuse ourselves from God’s divine nudge. 

A God dare is simple, friend. It’s God’s yes, His gigantic smile and nod of the head, His holy high five beckoning you to believe. Begging you to take Him at His word, and to once and for all let go of all fear, doubt, guilt, and pride and say yes to His yes. It’s God’s offer to each of us to choose to be chosen–to say yes to His magnificent plan for your life. Your part is to trust Him and step into the unknown place He’s been asking you to consider for some time…maybe years…but fear and doubt have stopped you.
